| My first encounter with Sangre de drago was ten years ago, when I was in Ecuador on an ecology trip. I had swelling, pain, and redness on my forearm caused by contact with an unknown plant's thorns. Prescription hydrocortizone was not working even after three days of its application to the site on my arm. An antibiotic cream I had gotten from my doctor was useless. The shaman from a Quichua tribe village located on the Rio Napo river, where our group was staying, applied a red resin he had gotten from a bottle taken from his pack to my arm. In less than a day, the pain, swelling, and itching was gone. Something, even prescription hydrocortizone and antibiotic cream could not do at all. I have since been amazed to this day with the power of Sangre de drago.
I have a horse that was injured 16 days ago and sustained a 2 1/2 inch laceration on its lower leg requiring 10 stitches and a 12 to 14 inch bandage. The lower leg is the worst place for a horse to obtain a wound, as, you may know, it is the area on the horse's body which heals the slowest. The bandages were taken off on the ninth day. During the first five days after injury, the veterinarian recommended no medication be applied. The area under the bandages was to remain dry only. When it was time to change the bandages for the second time at the animal clinic, six days after the injury occured, I sprayed the wound with a healthy dose of Sangre de drago and reapplied the bandage for the third and last time. The vet said it was okay for me to treat the wound with Sangre de drago after he glanced at some of the research and other literature I gave to him regarding this wonderous resin. On the ninth day, I took my horse back to the vet to have the third bandage removed. The area looked very good according to the doctor. I was told by the vet to continue to apply Sangre de drago daily. On the fourteenth day, the stitches were to come out, so back to the animal clinic my mare went. The doctor was amazed at the healing that had taken place, and he attributed the healing to the daily care on my part and the resin. By the way the vet is a firm believer in natural cures and does know the healing powers of some rain forest medicines, however, he had never heard of Sangre de drago. He has now seen the healing powers possessed by this tremendous resin, and, as a man of science, he has since done research of his own on this resin via the internet through a site called "Pubmed.gov". |
